Fotor is my go-to online collage maker and I use it in my media lessons a lot as the first step in a larger project. I will have the students whip up a collage to support their blog, ThingLink, VoiceThread project, or just as an assessment of a concept. It is super easy to use, does not require an account/login, and I've had students as young as 1st grade create a collage. You can do traditional, funky, or photo-stitching layouts with lots of fun options!
Here are a few examples where students created a photo collage to support their first Kidblog post that described them. Disclaimer: Students used search filters to find images that were licensed for reuse, but we will work on actually citing images in our next lesson.
